We have been creative with our Christmas Window this year. Using photographs of objects from our collection as baubles we have created a ‘Singing Window’.
Each bauble has a QR code to listen to a certain part of the song or click on the QR code on the window to listen to the whole song. Set to the music of the 12 Days of Christmas – the words have been changed to list objects you might find in the museum.
The song is sung by Herne Bay Community Singers, the words have been adapted by museum volunteers and the museum window has been designed and decorated by museum volunteers.
A real community project!

Photographic competition 2022
The theme for our next photographic competition and exhibition is “Herne Bay Through the Year”, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Deadline for entries is 21 March 2022, for an exhibition from 2 April to 14 May. All photos entered will be on display, and visitors will have a chance to vote for their favourites for the next calendar.
Entries should be submitted as A4 landscape prints please, and the file kept for submission if your photo is one selected for the calendar/postcards.
We’ve had some fantastic entries over the past few years, and would love to see more junior entries as well as adult ones – why not encourage younger family members to try their hand and explore our town for interesting images?
